Crowbar Lake trail

The sun is out and there is finally a feeling of spring here in Halifax, NS! Well, at least for the next couple of days…
The last weeks the weather have been changing between freezing winds, rain, ice, snow, sun and back again.

Today the hiking trip went to Crowbar Lake north of Porters Lake. Really nice back country trail. Pretty hilly terrain with some stunning views! Quite wet in some areas with pitcher plants, lichens and fungus growing all over. Saw squirrels and heard a lot of birds in the trees. Definitely a recommended trail! Will go back in summer time and spend a bit more time around there.

The last couples of months we had visitors from Denmark, went snowmobiling in Maine, hiked trails around Halifax AND I got a job! So not too much time for the blog – but will try to write a bit more frequently…
